August RECAP

long time and a plethora of emotional experiences..... can write pages and pages but not really in a mood for writing.
Well that has a valid reason:
I feel that a blog is like a Pensieve (ref. HARRY POTTER) and so one should include all the info in it. But if we miss even 1 day, we have a huge backlog, and then only motivation can help you blog. But Yes i have a responsibility for myself, and i have to live upto it. So here i give a summarized update on my experiences in college and elsewhere. Forgive me for the undue usage of phrases.
  • 3rd august :- Effect of the RAINY DAYS....Train problems.....shuttling between platforms 4 and 6 (at least thrice).....stuffed locals, no breathing space AAAAAAAGH!!!!!. Reach college late..... say hi to RD as she comes out of the lecture (God knows why she remembered me in the class).....talk to friends (Long time , no see) some of whom dont care, more important priorities (grrrrrrr..)
  • got some shocks - siemens IV part 2 gets no response - hey it gets a decent response - sorry it finally gets cancelled (thanks to some kind hostelites).
  • happened to observe some obvious changes in the mental state of some friends.....LESSON learnt - NEVER REVEAL YOUR OBSERVATIONS.
  • tried Swapnil's Guitar with the new strings. It plays really good. Dunno how far it will last with my way of strumming. But Bottomline: REALLY MELODIOUS
  • Gave "VALUABLE ADVICE" to my successor Karthik Poddar (Treasurer IEEE-SPCE and HOF - NIRMAAN 2005).
  • Got some more emotional shocks (slight ones but long lasting) and yet getting them.
  • Both my phones finally start working (these phone repairmen know the art of frustrating to rake money) cost me (as in my dad) 100 bucks.
  • Got a big Jhatka RESULTS 57% - SIEMENS might show me the door (SCHOLARSHIP INSTALMENT ---- BIG NO NO). have to be satisfied with an overall 1st class. Overall a very bad result... just hope it doesnt affect my MS prospects. btw kudos to Amey.

Other result Highlights: only 30/74 passed, 45 with at least 1 KT, 17 drops

  • Spent 2 "fruitful" hours listening to SP's problems, and realised the cause of OUR problems.
  • Ate a GOLA at Juhu beach with my sis and family....now having a bad sore throat.
  • Prepared for MATLAB seminar for SE's and ended up teaching TE's (Courtesy: Perennial Management Problems of Electrical Dept.) with a bad throat and hoarse voice.
  • We finally have our first SMPC lecture.
  • and loads of assignments to finish and backlog to cover up.....GOD ONLY KNOWS WHEN

and life goes on..........

--- for SE's and ended up teaching TE's --- If thats the only hitch you faced, I didn't deserve any of the brickbats I got for staying away. After all, my only focus was on the net tutorial, Thite was the guy for the SE/TE stuff. And talking of commitments, you are committed to the net tutorial too, remember?
